Why do I find this subject important? Well that’s easy! Your child safety! If this little blog helps keep your babies safer in the event of an accident then – Yes it’s important!

PLEASE take a few minutes to continue reading and watching as it could just help stop your little one suffering serious injuries – just for a few minutes of your time.

I always strap my son into his car seat tightly and always have. I see so many parents that leave the straps fairly loose, or even very loose so that their child is able to remove their shoulders from the straps and it always really concerns me for their safety.
[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”60″][vc_column_text]
Some of the following could be your perspective…
‘oh they will be fine as the straps are there’,
or
people think they aren’t going to crash (which we always hope you’re not),
or
‘I’m a slow driver they will be fine they can’t hurt themselves’
or
‘they wont keep the straps on’
(you may have something else, these are just a few).
[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”60″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row fullwidth=”yes” border=”yes” top_margin=”0″ bottom_margin=”0″ css=”.vc_custom_1547163613470{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}” background_color=”#f7efea” notification=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]
BUT
do you really know what happens to a child if they can get their shoulder out of their straps in a car seat during a crash?
Please watch the following Youtube video to see exactly what happens…
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][spacer][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G2xigI2KVI” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Now compare the footage in this next video – Here shows the difference in a child who is tightly secure and one that has just a couple of loose inches, (this video is discussing puffy winter clothes but the principle is the same. It is also something very important to consider when putting your child in their seat).

Now wouldn’t you want to try and make sure they are secure?!
Please see the following Youtube video about how to ensure your child is firmly secure in their seat….

Many of the car seats do not have the chest clip and that could be your answer to stopping your child from escaping from their straps (which could save their life). So if your seat doesnt have one and you think you need one I have done a quick internet search and have found one that you can add to your seat here (click the image to be taken directly to site):

shop it here
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
This is just one that I have found by doing a quick search – I’m sure there are many more options out there and you do need to search for a item that you are happy with and is suitable for your car seat. Also please ensure you are fitting it correctly just like the video above shows.

So Please PLEASE keep your babies SAFE!!
and
Strap them in TIGHTLY & SECURELY! <3
